Get Involved
We provide endless opportunities to the musicians that come through our teaching programme.
Tailor made to suit you
MSPD offer regular tuition from experienced, approachable tutors and so the programme is tailor made to suit you. Tuition moves at a pace that you are comfortable with, with a wide variety of instructional videos available on YouTube to aid you with your practice at home.
Events
As you progress, you will be introduced with tunes to suit your ability and when your tutor deems you ready, you will then be invited to partake in events with other pipers and drummers (optional). From concerts, parades and even piping at the SSE Arena with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers; You’ll begin to gain confidence in playing your instrument with others and in front of crowds. Soon you’ll find yourself making friends, enjoying your music and perhaps joining a local band!
Joining a band
If you do choose to join a pipe band, or if you are already part of one before you begin lessons, this will not affect your progress with MSPD. The more experience you gain with your instrument will only improve your ability and we can help with that. You can continue to learn tunes as part of our programme or, if you would prefer, we can provide tuition on tunes that your band is playing.
Travelling the world
Many of our pipers and drummers have travelled with their instruments to perform in venues across Germany, France, Russia, Czech Republic and beyond. Performing a routine in a packed out arena with musicians from all over the globe, experiencing different cultures and playing your instrument just for the fun of it.
We always say that you get out what you put in, so why don’t you ‘get involved’ today and start learning with us!
